Charles has and continues to be an active member of the Tarporley community. In 2022 Charles and his wife Sandra sold their small business on Tarporley High Street (The Old Fire Station Chocolate and Coffee Shop). Keen to continue his involvement with the local community, he stood for Local Elections in May 2023 and is now Tarporley Ward Borough Councillor.
